List of Renown Pre-College Programs on the East Coast
that our students have been admitted to and graduated from:

The Juilliard School
With a 10.5% acceptance rate, Juilliard's Pre-College program is one of the most competitive pre-college programs to get in.
The program offers a comprehensive conservatory-style music program for students 8–18 years old who exhibit the talent, potential and ambition to pursue serious music study at the college level. Classes are held on Saturdays from 9am to 6pm generally. Students work with world-class faculty—many of whom are on the Juilliard college faculty—to develop technical proficiency while fostering creativity and intellectual curiosity. Full- and partial-tuition scholarships are available for eligible admitted students.

Manhattan School of Music
Manhattan School of Music's pre-conservatory training program for talented musicians aged 5 to 18, held on Saturdays during the school year.
Instruction each Saturday throughout the school year includes a weekly private lesson and classes such as theory, ear training, composition, orchestra, chorus, and conducting. Students also take part in
numerous performances held in our various recital halls.

Mannes
Mannes Prep is known for its
warm and supportive atmosphere. They also have separate curriculums that is tailored to include age- and level-appropriate class and ensemble assignments. The accepted students can choose to keep their own private teachers or move on to studying with the Prep teacher.
Mannes Prep welcomes students ages 4 to 18 (pre-K through high school), from beginners through advanced students aspiring to professional careers.
Its course of study, designed as a full school year (fall and spring terms), includes theory and ear training classes based on Mannes School of Music’s signature approach to foundational skill development through its Techniques of Music department and performance opportunities in large and small ensembles, workshops, recitals, and visiting artist master classes.
Students also have the opportunity to take private lessons with our distinguished faculty and pursue exciting electives on subjects including chamber music, composition, film scoring, electronic music, conducting, music history, world music, jazz ensemble, and more.

Curtis Institute of Music
While Curtis does not offer a pre-college (or "Prep") program, the institute sets no minimum age for the admission of applicants. Curtis has a unique belief that "gifted young musicians should study with leading teachers from the beginning of their conservatory days".

Even the youngest, elementary school-aged students receive musical training from the same teachers at the same intensive levels as do their older colleagues (the only difference being that the younger students may receive extra lessons).

The institute's acceptance rate is 4%. Tuition-free.
