As the Associate Professor of Violin & Viola at Houghton University - Greatbatch School of Music, I direct all string-intensive events at the university, including our own summer string festival. In addition, I oversee the string program at Houghton Academy - an International Christian Boarding School - exclusively for middle and high school students.

Masterclasses & Workshops
We invite world-class artists to give masterclasses and workshops on solo performance, orchestral excerpts, ensemble performance, as well as creative approaches to playing instruments. For more information on upcoming masterclasses and workshops, please fill out the form.
Spring String Intensive
This two day-long string-intensive event is exclusively offered to middle and high school students, as well as university-level students of advanced level to participate in various workshops, masterclasses, and competition. Next String Intensive will take place in January 2026. Applications are currently open.
Summer String Festival
at Houghton
The past two years, the university hosted a Summer String Festival at Houghton for students age 13-22. Get a sneak-peak of students's experiences. Next festival will take place in Summer 2026. Applications will open January 2026.
Houghton Academy
This school year (2024), I will be directing a String Ensemble program at the Academy, exclusively offered to middle and high school students at Houghton Academy - a Christian Boarding School. Follow us as we embark this journey!
